I am trying to read tags using ignition from WinCC Explorer V8.0 Upd 5. I have tried to access server using following link

opc.tcp://localhost:4862
opc.tcp://localhost:4840

but it always shows error “connection closed”.

i tried to check if the port is available or listening using netstat
and here is the result
 TCP    0.0.0.0:4840           0.0.0.0:0              LISTENING       4788
 TCP    0.0.0.0:62541          0.0.0.0:0              LISTENING       7380

I have already imported and exported the server certificates to both side for authentication purpose as well but none of it seems to be working.

Can Someone provide me with the exact steps about configuring WinCC OPC Server in WinCC Explorer?

Also i have observed that my OpcUaServerWinCC service is in Paused state. i tried to manually start the service but it showed error saying “Windows could not start the service and service did not return error.”
