PCU50 Windows NT, 500 mgh and1.2 ghz not booting after weekend

Ecas man Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello I have a Star Ecas20 with a 840di controller, it is a 1.2 ghz PCU50. On monday morning it wont boot, Thebacklight on the lcd does not turn on. The fan on the top of PCU50 spins. I have got it to boot if I put the harddrive switch into non-operating and it will boot and say no operating system found. Then I turn off power and wait for PCU50 fan to stop and then put the switch back into operating and it boots okay I hade a 500 mgz PCU50 that did it to so, I put a new power supply in it and itboots up every monday. I put a new power supply in the 1.2 ghz PCU50 and the first monday it booted the second week it did not boot, the third week it booted but I got a alarm 4065 " Buffered memory was restored from backup medium ( possible data lost ) " like it did not shut down right. So anybody got any help. Thanks

Ecas man Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello It shuts down right. I checked all the cards when I put new power supply in. I did not look at any of the caps on the motherboard. I have 13 of these machines. I went to school with Dan Nelson. I see alot of problems. Yaskawa had goodphone support, I am not to happy with Siemens phone support. I know they are new to these machine but they should have gotten Yaskawa data base when the took it over. I sent a PCU 50 in for repair, when it comes back I am going to switch them out. I have the 500 mghz PCU50 with NT on them, How hard is it to upgrade to a PCU50 with XP on it. Thanks for all your help

Jason. Experienced Member Joined: 7/13/2008 Last visit: 8/21/2025 Posts: 107 Rating: (9)	Can you look at how long the ups is powering the PCU50 when you shutdown the system? There is a battery light on the UPS controller. You can avoid the 4065 by shutting the PCU50 down using the exit button regardless of the condition of the battery. Menu Select + arrow right + exit, and wait until it says safe to turn off/restart. Then press the off button, this will save you some headache until you can replace your battery.
