I programmed my KTP400 HMI with TIA Portal V20 to communicate with S7-200 SMART PLC using profinet. I ensure that all IP addresses, subnet masks, default gateways and port interconnections are all correct. I wrote a program on S7-200 SMART PLC with Micro/WIN SMART, that if the first input port of the PLC will be triggered it will make an indicator lamp in the HMI change color from RED (PLC input is LOW) to GREEN (PLC input is HIGH). I connected the PLC, HMI and PC on an unmanaged ethernet switch. I downloaded both the PLC and HMI program to its respective hardware without problems but every time I trigger the PLC input to HIGH, the HMI is not responding, making the indicator lamp change color from RED to GREEN. Then I run the TIA Portal Simulation and I found out that the PLC is communicating with the simulation, showing me the expected result. Why is the simulation responding to the PLC and not the physical HMI? I attached some photos for reference. I hope somebody can help me with this. I did this to do a system compatibility/sanity check for our official machinery system. Thank you in advance experts.

Closed cause question posted twice. The second thread with the subject PROFINET COMMUNICATION BETWEEN S7-200 SMART PLC AND KTP400 HMI NOT WORKING is published within the conference Communication / Networks Best regards, |
