I am facing one problem regarding to the wincc flexible project upload.

The Hmi backup was made in wincc flexible old version and downloaded. That backup has been lost.

Now i want to Upload that backup from HMI panel.

I am trying to upload that backup with that version of wincc flexible in which backup developed.

but when i press the upload button in software then connection established and started the upload process , but during that one error occured "can't find .PDZ file"  and After that upload stopped.

Anyone help me..??

To have a backup stored on the HMI you should've selected the option "enable back transfer", which appears that you did not.

You can only upload an image file using PROSAFE and re-download it to another similar HMI.

 I dont know , who using select "enable back transfer" during transfer project in hmi(i havent use it till),

as i now 1%may use it but i am sure 99% programmer have never use it,

without it you won't be able to upload the(editable ) backup,

you can upload/download an image (.psb)file using prosave in same type(same order no) hmi,

image file cannot be editable,

If you tick enable back transfer .pdz file will be stored in panel. This will be again decompressed while using back transfer and you will get the editable format. 

Without that you can only upload the non editable file .psb. you can just use this file if you have the same panel.

 Hello,

Normally when you enable back transfer option, you need an external memory to save the project on it. Did you checked that the SIMATIC Panel does not have a memory card installed.

If you have this memory card, it may be stored on it.

If you don't have the editable backup, you can take non-editable image using prosave and you can download it to another Panel with the same Part number.

And if your Panel became obsolete, You can still buy it from Siemens as Spare Parts or from other suppliers, there are hundreds online.
