Just a quick question I have attached a code(Mitsubishi) I would like to to re-write using the logo

1. is it feasible

2.what would be the pitfalls regarding migration of the code,because I am not to familiar with Mitsubishi.Hope some could point me in the right direction

Hi, 

Do you have the program to open the FX1n software? I don't think you can simply convert to Logo, you'll probably need to re-write it yourself. The easiest way to do so is to open the program you have in Ladder or whatever is available and convert it manually to Logo. 

Whether it's feasible depends on whats in the program and the amount of and which I/O is used. 

I cant open your programm-code (using GX IEC Developer FX)

There is NO possibility to "translate" the Mitsubishi code to LOGO.

The best way is to open and print your FX programm in FBD or Codesys. Thats a little simulair to the LOGOSoft code. The basic block are simulair (AN OR NAND etc) the special blocks (Timers Counters) are a little different.

Notice that the LOGO is a small PLC for small projects. The LOGO can use a little mathematical functions

I did try with an even older version of the Mitsubishi software, GPPWin, doesn't work neither. 

The way the project files are named and their extensions do however point in the direction of GPPWin. Perhaps my version is too  "new". My version is SW3D5-GPPW-E Version00A. It has been used in the past to program FX2n plc's

To be sure I also tried with MEDOC, however no succes there either.

gx developer v8(gx works_2) is the software that i used to open and check and then zip to post on the forum. It is an 85 step code(ladder) and I understand that it will have to be written line for line,it's just that some of the outputs i wanted to know how they would translate into logo.

May be this helps:

PLS = positive edge evaluation
RST = reset
Kx    = For timers the time value in 0.1s. K30 = 30 x 0.1s = 3s

 Perhaps obvious, but still:

Xxxx = Physical inputs

Yxxx = Physical outputs

Mx = internal "flag"
