I am investigating now the fallowing:

We have 5 S5 PLCs (S5-155U) with SCADA/Batch system SISTAR V5.3 (I found out that this is the same as BRAUMAT). Customer wants to convert program S5 to S7 and replace SISTAR with WinCC. As I have not much knowledge (non in general) about SISTAR/BRAUMAT ssystem I am wondering what functions (becides wizualization) SISTAR have?

Is this something like PCS7 and in PLCs I schould expect also some functions automatically generated by SISTAR (like in PCS7) is this convertable (By automatic converter) to Step7?

Anyone knows where to find more information about such configuration - S5 with   SISTAR V5.3.

The "normal" migration path is from Braumat/Sistar to PCS 7; see for example this document (version numbers are not up to date, but it will give you an idea of what the process requires). More information can be requested from Siemens if needed.:
