S7-400H Modbus TCP Redundant CP

GALMARINI Advanced Member Joined: 11/11/2015 Last visit: 7/22/2024 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have an S7-400H system with ET200M on Profinet I / O connected to the PN CPUs and a CP 443-1 (1EX30-0EX0 v3.2) for each rack for redundant connection to DCS. I have configured everything, but the Modbus Poll tells me there is a connection, but it does not read (Timeout). At the moment I haven't loaded the license yet, in fact the LED on the CPU blinks. But I should read the vi modbus values even without a license, correct? Can someone help me? Attachment MDB_Problem.zip (856 Downloads)

It is sure, that the client tries to establish the connection? What it the parameterized port number for S7? Check the IP adresses and the port numbers. Before the modbus block can communicate, at least 1 connection must be established. Check it with online view in NetPro, what the current status of the TCP connections are. Wüstenräuber

GALMARINI Advanced Member Joined: 11/11/2015 Last visit: 7/22/2024 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	I am using a separate PC to simulate the DCS, with host and VM with 2 separate ethernet interfaces CP_A: 192.168.0.250 (Conn 1- port 502 / Conn 2 - port 503) CP_B: 192.169.0.250 (Conn 1- port 502 / Conn 2 - port 503) Host: 192.168.0.251 (Mdb_poll_1-port 502, Mdb_poll_2-port 503) VM: 192.169.0.251 (Mdb_poll_1-port 502, Mdb_poll_2-port 503) NETPro gives the 4 green connections. But the 4 Modbus polls all give timeouts and variables to zero. The CPs are SERVER obviously, and the DB31 is initialized. Attachment MDB_Problem2.zip (870 Downloads)
