I am using a Siemens Masterdrives model 6SE7021-OEP60, currently the drive is working with signal 0~10V, Now I want to change the setpoint to 4~20mA. Do I only need to change jumpers and parameter 443.1 (S.Main Setpoint) to K13 (AI2 setpoint) from K11 (AI1 setpoint)?

Also why does some parameters have 2 options e.g: 443.1 and 443.2?

you need to change the switch S3 at CUVC (1-2 for AI 1 and 3-4 for AI2) and also change P632.1 or P632.2 to "4" for a 4-20 mA AI. Only if you also change from AI1 to AI2, you need to change K0011 to K0013. At P443 you have to indices, as this parameter is available in two BiCo parameter sets.

 Thankyou for your reply. According to software I can only use 0~10V for AI1 and that's why when I try to change P632.1 to 4 (4~20mA) it gives error of illegal parameter. I am only able to change P632.2 to 4. And do I need to change both P443.1 and P443.2 to K13 (Ai2)? What is the purpose of two BiCo parameters?

sorry I did not mention, that you have a Compact Plus unit, where only AI2 can be changed to 4-20 mA. So you need to go with AI2 and K0013. And there are certain BiCo or BDS (BiCo dataset) parameters with the .B sign. Means all of them like the ON command P554.B have these two indices and with P590 you can switch over between the basic and reserve BiCo data set. So you could for example realize a local/remote control switchover using e.g. BDS parameters xyz.1 for remote (basic) control and xyz.2 parameters for local (reserve) control and use a binary signal at P590 for the switch over.
