nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 11/15/2024 Posts: 4074 Rating: (357)	You can only try your luck for loading PLC05059/NC05059 or PLC.arc /NC.arc other file , I don't think they are back up for NC/PLC data, (some is Alarm text) //====================== BTW--I think we have some communication issue, see I asked you" to help you better--please provide detail story, are you sure current HMI you used was original with this NCU?" if you want to help, please tell stroy of your machine. you machine lost data due to low battery? or you just want to pricatise to download archive data to NCU? The story is as follows, the machine worked until Saturday 05.08.23. , was switched off at 23:00 and was switched on again on Monday 07.08.23. at 07:00 with lost data. I have another CNC with the same 840d only 2 years older and I have restored the backup several times without problems. I didn't have a problem with the battery, the only thing is that we often have short voltage drops, is it possible that this leads to the problem? It is the first sign of bad HDD "health". Maybe some files was stored on bad sectors. Anyway you should make full backup copy of your HDD. 2. Previous user changed HDD after serious crush, but make backup image from HDD in bad condition. He restored HDD image on the new one HDD, but havent used archive function on this MMC. 3. "Dummy hands" interference of third parties. What I would do if I were in your situation? 1. Make backup image of your HDD. 2. Get from it all available archives. 3. Try to restore them through RS-232 interface. Or make PC machine with HMI Advanced installed on it then connect it to the MPI interface, and use this HMI for restoring available archives. P.S. finding issues in HMI work is quite tricky thing, some times it easier and quicker to make some work from external PC/PG Added: you have mentioned that you have another machine with MMC, so you can use its MMC instead of external PC

I mentioned another computer, from which I send programs for work. I have another machine from 1997 with the same control 840D with MMC102, the one with the problem is a 1999 840D with MMC103. cncnik It seems that some files are corrupted in your HMI system. Also you should have RS-232 connection cable. In attached archive you'll find procedure for restoring backup via RS-232, description of PCIN software and RS-232 cable pin assignment.

nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 11/15/2024 Posts: 4074 Rating: (357)	Winpcin is not free SW, but you can try your luck --Google it in and out Siemens website I remeber it is not standard alone SW, it was contained inside SINUMERIK 802D "Toolbox"--the SW package for start up 802D, so you can serach 802D Toolbox or contact any dealer who can supply it But one think remind me--when I read your's and cncnik's post, that is for some reason, your original archive files NC/PLC .arc possible defective --if it is really the case--then I think you cannot use it to transfer from PC (via WinPCIN) too another hard job for youhow to take out NC/PLC arc from you HMI (HDD) You mentioned you have a simialr Siemens 840D machine --please give information how similiar such as NCU 57x.x --I will think other solution for you.--maybe possible you need make a "new machine"--maually input parameters and make PLC program. or get ride of it kicotrog Hello nulizhang, Thanks for your reply, where can I download that WinPCIN program, or should I buy it, which version is suitable for such an old machine and which Windows can support that program.
