Hello,

We are in the process of commissioning a Siwarex FTC card (7MH4900-3AA01) on a test bench before installing it in the field. However, we are currently unable to establish a connection to the card using both Siwatool V2 and V4.

The test bench is equipped with the IM-153-1, and we are trying to connect with a Field PG.

• Siwatool V4 displays the error: "The connected module cannot be accessed by this application."
• Siwatool V2 shows: "Communication failure."

We are using an ATEN USB-Serial converter (UC-232A) + new driver, and there is no MMC inserted into the FTC card.

We have not encountered any issues when using Siwatool V4 with a Siwarex-U card and the "7MH4607-8CA SIWAREX U CONNECTING CABLE."

Any ideas for what could be wrong?

Going to test communication with another PC today, will keep this updated.

edit: Same errors with another PC.

edit 2: Problem was a faulty null-modem cable..

1) So we should keep trying with V2 then?

4) The pc was a 'regular' laptop with a RS232 port, tried null modem and the aten-usb cable.

Both Null-modem cables we used for the FTC where faulty...

Works fine with the new cable.
