TIA PORTAL V18 CPU PROXY PROBLEM

resposito Regular Member Joined: 12/5/2013 Last visit: 3/17/2025 Posts: 7 Rating: (1)	Dear experts, I inserted a cpu device proxy in TIA PORTAL V18 but when I try to initialize it to link it to the step7 project the program crashes. I also tried with other versions (V16,V17...) but I have the same problem. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks a lot, bye Roberto Attachment Problem_2.jpg (641 Downloads)

Tested with tia portal 17 & 18. The difference is that i get no crash notification, the tia window just dissapears. From what i can see i have everything updated. Tia portal is 18 upd 2 Step 7 professional is upd2 WinCC advanced is upd2

With V13 i got an usefull error message instead of just a shutdown of tia portal. The error message was something like "compile data block XX in the source project" So i went back to the source project and saw that the data block that was not compiled was not even used in the project so i simply just deleted it and after that i could initialize the device proxy in tia portal V18.
