I have some doubts about how should i read the data from a encoder using this module.

I have a 1000 pulses per turn encoder conected, using pew 256 and pew 258 on channel A/B, but i'm not sure how to process the data.

Moving the encoder.manually, i see the data changing on pew256, but is far from being a 0-1000 count.

Are you trying to use a profinet device (??) to capture digital pulses from an encoder?

If you do the math, and you really should, you will likely find an unreasonable upper limit on encoder speed before you start losing pulses.

Are you trying to use a profinet device (??) to capture digital pulses from an encoder?

It's no big deal if one uses an encoder evaluation card.
