WinCC Error - SQL server cannot access database

Ganes10 Platinum Member Joined: 8/31/2010 Last visit: 10/29/2024 Posts: 1523 Rating: (229)	I am facing this pdlrt.exe problem for the past45 days. Initially I had WinCC v7.0 + SP1 in my PC. Then upgraded it to WinCC v7.0 + SP2. (The problem started after this installation) Then installed WinCC v7.0 + SP2 + Update 2. Then installed WinCC v7.0 + SP2 + Update 3. If i am having a confirmation that uninstalling and reinstalling WinCC will do to fix the issue, then i will happily do that to restore my Working WinCC. How many others are facing this pdlrt.exe error ?

In your second thread, i saw the screenshots, and this is a classical crash of the pdlrt.exe So you have to download the user dump tool from microsoft here. After that you have to configure the tool for an automatic dump of the pdlrt.exe process (Access Violation) (You will find also a description, how to use here) Normally, when you configured right, the dumpfile is created, while next crash of the pdlrt.exe. Contact technical support, they will tell you how to send the files (dumpfile, logfiles, etc). Siemens development will analyse the files and after that they can tell you what the reason is. regards

I installed thisupdate on the nest server and it working fine now. Hi nlk Where this settings should be done? Now at any point of time when WinCC is opened, the error occurs. Kindly suggest. n\|k Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Ganes10, please run "SQL Server Management Studio", right click on your SQL server and select Properties then use Security section. My issue was resolved after changing from "Windows Authentication mode" to "SQL Server and Windows Authentication mode"

AutoGen_280204 Posts: 2 Rating: (1)	Hello, Had the same problem, but solved it in a different way. I went to Control Panel->Administrative tools->Services. and then I stopped the SQL Server (WinCC) and restarted it again. After that the error dissapeared
