connecting to a database

bermuda Posts: 151 Rating: (3)	hello experts how can i use an external database in wincc? i have a lot of controller and plant devices data in a database , i want to read and write to database with wincc and monitor my data in wincc. my other question is how can i read excell or access files in wincc? thanks

bermuda Posts: 151 Rating: (3)	no sandman let me explain more, i have my plc and my wincc screens and tags in my project, in my project there are some devices that stores it's data in a excell workspace, i want to integrate this data to my wincc screens, i want to read from excell cells and write to another escell cells, we canassume that excell cell will be a kind of wincc tag! i hope i said my mean thanks

There you find all information about reading and writing into a csv-file via WinCC flexible. best regards

For example if you want to write into xls you must also name the workbook and the excel sheet you want to write in. This isn`t so easy like csv, but xls should also be possible.
