connection between 2 Schneider PM1200 Power Meters and S7-1200 PLC through Modbus RTU

M.samani Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi I got a connection between 2 Schneider PM1200 Power Meters and S7-1200 PLC through Modbus RTU.I read the current value of phase 1in the address registers 3929 and 2925of PM1200s.But I received variable and irrelevant values.What's wrong? I attached my project pictures and PM1200 manual. Best Regards. Try losing the leading 4 in your mb master address parameter. On page 51 of the manual you posted, it says for Siemens,just use the 3900 value, not the 43900 or 403900, just send the offset, not the actual MB register #.

M.samani Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Hi huggy_d1 According to S7 1200 manual and PM1200 manual must be add 4 or40 before3900. PM1200 manual(page 64): Address configuration: All addresses are in decimal. Some SCADA software supports Modbus register address instead of absolute register address. In this case add 40000 to the above address and use it. For example, VA parameter absolute address is 3901. [page 64] S7 1200 manual(I attach page 643 of S7 1200 manual): Thanks. I completely understand why you would want to have it the way the manuals state to parameterize the register address. However, if you do drop the leading 4, does it work? [b]Keep in mind, the word layout in memory may not be siemens friendly. You may need to high/low byte swap to get proper results as well.[/b] The fact you are getting values, irratic though they may be, means the 4xxxxx format is being accepted and a value is being returned.
