not exactly in my opinion, to your question (need set start address from 0?). To me, driver works like start from 0 without to define any offset and with need to count how long data are defined as actual I/O address occupy. Simply in my opinion, you can have start I/O address higher as start but then you need count from 0 and with your actual I/O address number of bytes. You need probably then also take to account set proper IOxS lenght depended to this lets say gap, if you have it. Maybe example, let say you have one ET PN with start address of Inputs 10 (let say 4 inputs) so 10.0,10.1,10.2 and 10.3. Then you have f.ex. AI card start with 12 (4 AI) so 12..15. You have f.ex. also Outputs cards same cfg like 4xDO and 2xAO with same address start as Inputs -> Q10.0..Q10.3 and AO 12..15. You see that you have not addresses start from 0 but you can set this to read correctly in my opinion but you need start count from 0 as driver works like this in my opinion. Then your PNIO_ blocks need have LEN->16 and SEND as f.ex. P#M100.0 BYTE 16 (start from 0 to 15->16 BYTEs), RECV as next after SEND set -> P#M116.0 BYTE 16. It's logical if count all I/O to have all included with I/O exchange. Maybe in this case you need set IOxS data amount higher as is inside help described because of more data exchange as my example because then you can have maybe that error about length not enough, of course with pay attention to correctly define long enough buffers as my example. I think it can work like that but in case you have higher address as in your actual state (284 f.ex.) this is really not expected and set to 0 or only little bit higher (my example) is expected to have best performance and functionality. From Example link you attached is simply clear that you need count all I/O and differ them as Inputs to RECV and Outputs to SEND definitions. Also next my idea, simply, in case you have higher start I/O address than 0, yoiu need then use bigger buffer and length definition to blocks what can affect performance and functionality. Really I don't know what max number as LEN can be used (254???) as still functional because this driver is somehow not clear with its internal functionality, documentation.
