In this manual SIMATIC HMI WinCC flexible 2008 Communication Part 1 open page 93 and read chapter about data areas and life bit. It will detect PLC loss. Also you can make custom life bit if you like, but better is to use an integrated feature. Urban.matsson The scheduler, are the way to have a scheduler faster than 1 minute ? No, you can only add custom cycles for various events, but scheduler's run times are fixed.

You can change a bit in the PLC but you can only read that bit with a scheduler that runs every minute so it will in average take 30 seconds to detect a PLC loss ? Custum scheduler ? How to make a scheduler that runs a script every 1 second ? Cheers Urban

Cheers Urban Ok,in HMI alarm setting assign system alarm it will detect communication loss with given node. and if you want to make logic in PLC /HMI for that then do one thing make logic in plc on that 1 memory bit is toggle at every 1 sec. by using s7 timer. make timer more than 5 sec for unnecessory loading > in hmi Tag menu assign tag property >in event>run script upon value change so every timememory bit value change this assignedscript will run. regards, viral
