Dislay Local Time on MP277 Alarm Window

EdT Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I am synchronizing a 315-2 PN/DP to a Desktop PC and it works, but it sets the PLC time to Greenwich Mean Time. I easily corrected the problem for equipment runs times, but when an alarm occurs, the HMI showsthe alarm timeas GMT. I went (in Step 7) to customize, date and time, dislay module times in the local time of the PG/PC. I checked the check box but it does't work. Am I in totally the wrong place? HELP!

So, you need to synchronize the time between your HMI and the PLC: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/24104104 Another possibility is to use the message alarm process (very complicated, but uses always the timestamp of the PLC, needs much less ressources on the bus, and synchronizes acknowlede of alarms between all HMI): http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/24013249

EdT Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the response.I do have the time between the PLC and the HMI synchronized, but the PLC is using Greenwichmean time. It makes the alarms six hours off compared to local time. I tried to change the time zone in the windows software on the HMI but it does't work.
