Today we are using TIA Portal for TP1200 panels, but old projects are using MP277 in wincc flexible 2008.

Truth be told, wincc flexible 2008 sp3 is much more stable and easy to be worked with classical step 7 5.5. And we need old software for maintenance, at the same time, we got a laptop running windows 10 so I decide to install a Windows Server 2008R2 virtual machine in VMWare to do so.Almost every "legacy" software works well like step 7 5.5, DriveES, Starter, WinCC 7.0sp3 etc except wincc flexible 2008 sp3, it just stopped installing.

So have you tried to install wincc flexilbe 2008 sp3 in Windows Server 2008R2 before? Did I get wrong product version?

For the reason using Server 2008R2 is that we got licenses of them and running of licenses of win7 or WinXP.

Any idea is appreciated.
