I have an application which uses aKTP400, the system is a fairly straight forward one with a clock displayed on the screen template and a collection of alarms which also display the time at which they're activated etc.

The problem I have is when the machine is powered down theKTP400 losses track of the time but still recalls the alarm events and their times.

I thought I'd fix this by sending the CPU time from the PLC through to the panel in a tag and displaying that. This seems to work with the clock displayed on the template but I cannot see how to connect this tag into the alarm windows time. Is there a way I can update the system time of the panel with the tag coming from the HMI? Or is there a better way to ensure the panel doesn't forget the time?

You can use Area Pointers, there is an appropriate one for Date and Time.
