I have a doubt regarding turning on/off of "Optimized block access" of data-blocks.

What i know that is disabling "optimized block access" (for easier tag access) increases the number of exposed variables. In making S7-communication, we have to perform this step which later creates offset column in the data-block as well.

However, i was studying the OPCUA communication and there it was recommended in case of OPCUA communication to turn-on the "optimized block access" because it significantly affects the CPU performance. If this is the reason, then how?
    if this is not the case, then what is the possible reason?'

S7 communications (specifically PUT/GET) can be done by optimized data blocks.. provided these are S7-1200 and S7-1500 partners. The data structure should be the same also.

The way to ensure the structure is the same is to use a UDT. The joke however is that when you use a UDT, the data in the UDT is structured in a non-optimized way. (based on observations)

The Ethernet TCP user communication instructions also allow for optimized data in the same rules as the above S7-communications.
