I have a basic panel KTP600 DP and a PLC 313C

I am going to use MPI for connection

My software is S7 5.5  and wincc-flex( I am not using TIA portal)

The problem is I am not able to connect  my laptop to HMI

I have tried PC adaptor (my pc adaptor only support MPI) and serial cable ( I have used USB to serial converter )

Any time that I tried to transfer or, os update, I am facing this massage that:“not able to connect”

I have changed the dip switches according to manual, and tried to transfer from software and panel.

But still can’t cable to download the program

is your pc adapter working? Are you able to connect with plc???

Do you configure mpi panel interface???(see page 67 onwards of this manual).

your PC adapter hasn't in PG/PC interface Profibus option? If yes, try that, but via MPI I think you can connect also, but as Mindware sugested. Your pure USB serial converter will not work, only Multimaster USB adapter probably.

Is your panel connected whit a Mpi or DP cable to the CPU or a ethernet cable ?
You can always check the communication way of the HMI device in the control panel button , you can get this menu when you restart the panel .

Check there your communication settings , it's also possible you need to set the device in transferring mode .
