this issue is similar to the issue here, but with a different message and a different solution I suppose.

We have a 315-2DP CPU with the SF red light always ON. the error comes because a profibus module (DP addr 6)  is not available. The CPU runs perfectly because there is an OB122 added so it's fine so far.

The error text message is as follows :

I/O access error, reading
P area, word access, Access address:    258
Requested OB: I/O access error OB (OB122)
Priority class:  1

We want to get rid of the faulty LED and the diagnostic buffer that is always filled with the same error.

How can we tell the CPU to ignore this station and all the I/O addresses associated with it ?

Hello,

remove the device from hardware configuration and reload the same. Also check if there is any access to the addresses used by this device and remove them.
