I am using S7-300 software redundancy system with CP343-1 LEAN. I want to communicate both the PLC with WINCC Flexible 2008 PC Runtime(Scada). I have the software redundancy package, and SOftware Redundancy is working properly. I am just facing the problem in Communication with SCADA system. Please Help me out.

This is the solution i use and it works fine:

1. In both PLC A and PLC B logic (not redundant program) insert these commands:

SET

A DB1000.DBX 9.2 //(DB1000 is FB101 instance DB)

A DB1000.DBX 9.0

= M 2.0 //(use a spare MW, not included in the redundant M area)

SET

A DB1000.DBX 9.3 //(DB1000 is FB101 instance DB)

A DB1000.DBX 9.0

= M 3.0 //(use a spare MW, not included in the redundant M area)

• When I assign all tags in WinCC flexible to the “PLC” connection, in the event of a failure, for example failure of CPU-A, how does the HMI show the values of the CPU-B connection?

To do this, you have to assign to the high limit event for CPU A MASTER and CPU B MASTER tags, the function "change connection", pointing the connection PLC to the master CPU. See attached, example for CPU A MASTER.

This way PLC A will set M2.0 when master, PLC B will set M3.0 when master

2. In your WinCC project, create 3 PLC connections (i name them PLC, CPU_A, CPU_B), for the sake of simplicity assign PLC and CPU_A to your CPU A, assign CPU_B to your CPU B.

3. Assign all the tags to your PLC connection.

4. Create 2 more tags, CPU_A_MASTER (connected to CPU_A) and CPU_B_MASTER (connected to CPU_B), type byte, acquisition cyclic continuous (1 sec is ok). Assign to both tags an high limit of 0 (zero). Tag addresses are the bytes you change with the logic at item 1. (for me, MB2 and MB3)

3. Assign events on high limit, change connection, PLC should point to the corresponding connection (address of CPU A for CPU_A_MASTER, address of CPU B for CPU_B_MASTER)

This way you are always checking both PLCs to identify the master, and you are sure that at least one of the two is connected.

With the help of Scripting it is possible to communicate with both PLC.

 my program i have redudancy plc cpu 315-2dp in mpi and i have CP 343 -1 lean and i  connecd it with HMI wincc flexible . i dont know what should i do to make HMI understand the redundancy plc .

It should be written before the redundant blocks are called in main  OB.   Just follow the steps are described before. it works charm.

CP A has IP  192.168.0.1 &

I try to assign PLC connection to CPU B. It's ok when the Master is CPU B, but when the Master change on CPU A, the communication with the HMI not change.

I try to assign PLC connection to CPU B. It's ok when the Master is CPU B, but when the Master change on CPU A, the communication with the HMI not change.

from your attachment I see that CPU A (CP 343-1 indeed) has IP 192.168.0.1, so I guess that CPU B has IP 192.168.0.2).

In the TAG editor, when CPU A MASTER exceeds limit value, you have to assign CPU A IP address (192.1680.0.1) to PLC_changeover. When CPU B MASTER exceeds limit value, you have to assign CPU B IP address (192.168.0.2) to PLC_changeover.

Basically, as long as both CP are working, HMI communication works. But as soon as you set the master offline, the changeover logic is pointing to the wrong partner.

Let me know if it works now.
