Hello bg2492, I'm trying to migrate a WinCC project from WinCC v6.0 to WinCC v8.1. The migrated project to WinCC v7.2 works without errors. The cross-referecing is the same and correct. When I open a migrated project from WinCC v7.2 in WinCC v7.5 or WinCC v8.1, the cross-referencing throws an SQL exception.
System.Exception: System.Data.SqlClient.SQLException (0x80131904): Invalid column name ‘HidingVarID’….
I tried using your query (but 0 rows affected). I tried deleting content from tables as you suggested (the same i found on support siemens) Still without success. Can you give me some advice? Thanks

Hello jozjo first I would recommend using the latest Updates available for your WInCC Version https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109818723 Then open the Project from the previous version and then Tools->"Convert Project data" go to the project folder and check if there is a folder CROSSREF if yes is there something inside? Try to delete the content of the folder and open the crosrefference in WInCC again Does it also occur with a new test project? -> If the error lasts then you can also try to open as Service Request, perhaps the project is damaged somehow Bye Murof |
