WinCC 2008 Advanced to MP277 communication

5hiraz Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Dear All, May I request some guidance in attempting to communicate with a Siemens MP277 HMI (WinCC 2005 SP1) via a cross-over cable to WinCC Advanced 2008Ihave been able to ping the HMI itself to establish its address (is there a method of verifying the HMI’s IP address) connected to WinCC 2008 when attempting to ping the HMI the communications times out Also booted up the HMI gone straight into Transfer Mode “Connecting to Host…” then stays idle I have also gone to Transfer Settings on the MP277 and unchecked Channel 1 and enabled Channel 2 "Ethernet" and "Remote Control" however, when I Transfer on WinCC the project compiles and a pop-up stating no communications and check my setting! Any assistance will be greatly appreciated Kind regards, Shiraz
