WinCC Flexible 2007 DVD

CornfieldEng Regular Member Joined: 1/20/2011 Last visit: 6/3/2025 Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	I am looking at a project where I need to modify a WinCC Flex 2007 RT application and I need to know what I need to price for. From looking at the forum I have found that I can't create a 2007 RT application from my 2008 software but it does seem that I can run the 2007 engineering software with my 2008 license. My problem is I don't have the CD/DVD for 2007, is this still available and if so how do I go about getting it. The other posibility I have is to upgrade the RT to 2008 and use my 2008 engineering software. Does this way hold any great advantage/disadvantage? Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

They should help you in this case. To upgrade the project and download it with 2008 is allready a risk. The 2007 project runs correct, if you upgrade the software there can be problems wich you haven`t at your actual version. If you mustn`t upgrade i wouldn`t do it. Its a risk every time to get new problems. best regards

Uninstall 2008 from your system or install 2007 on another system and use it 2. Stay with Flex 2008. a. After you are done with changes, you can save the file as older version to 2007 and pass it back to your customer b. If your customer could apply changes to 2007, they wouldn't ask you to do it so they may not care about the final file be in 2007 or 2008, but you can ask them. I would personally go with 2008 as I have it on my system and apply changes and save it as 2008. Whoever is going to touch the file in future again for sure will have 2008.
