Wincc smartclient issue

tehnicancom Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello guys, I'm new to the Siemens world so would appreciate all the help i can get. Basically this is the issue: - we have an aluminium oven which has all the parameters controlled by an S7-200 PLC and the HMI on the panel is MP277 10" touch...now all the system is programmed and works fine. What we want is to add aditional capability in the form of another display that will show exactly what the HMI of the oven shows. I read about these and see that there is a solution called Smartclient as part of the Wincc flexible that can be used to access the HMI over the Internet as a web interface. Additionally, the process can be also controlled remotely. Now my question is: what do we need in order to make this work? First of all i guess, a PC with Wincc Smartclient installed...the HMI has a LAN port, can this be used to connect the HMI to a wireless router for example? And by connecting the HMI to the wireless router, can the HMI be accesed over Internet? And how? On the Wincc flexible disk, i have the smartclient.exe file, when i open it it say new smartserver connection and waits for user input of the IP address...this should be the IP address of the HMI? Does the HMI need to run Wincc flexible runtime or other software to allow to be accesed over the Internet? Thank you in advance for all your help and quick reply. Best regards, Ender
