I've a S7-416H and I don't know If It is normal:

1.- I cut one fiber-optic from the two that links the two redundant CPUs.

2.- One of them is MSTR (master) and the systems go on.

3.- I cut the alimentation (24Vdc) of the MSTR CPU.

4.- The Reserve CPU must catch the control - MSTR?¿¿?¿

because it doesn't works.  The Reserve CPU remains trying to start.

It is normal?¿

In SIEMENS manuals:

If I cut the fiber the communication remains.  If I replace the fiber the communication  between CPU's is established agains.

It's works but,

What's happen when I cut the fiber and shutdown the CPU Master?¿
