Hi,

I'm working on PID CFC where

I have a TIC (PID Controller), TX (Solenoid Valve) and TV (Control Valve).

What I did was

PCS7AnIn -> PIDConL -> PCS7AnOu

 The PIDConL will be the block icon for my TV (with extra control valve icon from symbol library)

Then for the TX Part I'm just using

VlvL ->PCS7DiOu

 So when I want to open the valve to a setpoint let say X from within SFC,

Both TX and TV have AutModLi = 1
TX: OpenAut.Value = 1
TV: SP_Int = X

Is this the correct way of doing so? Or is there a better practice of PID? I'm also thinking about connecting PIDConL to VlvAnL but I feel like it can be simpler using my method mentioned above.

Correct is often a matter of opinion.

The CMT's given by Siemens in the BCM are a good starting point for further customization according to your specific needs.

Regarding SFC commands, I think most experts will agree with me that you should lean toward SFC Type, not SFC. 

In either case you should be writing the PID to SP_Ext and putting it in external mode via SP_ExtLi when writing.  If you're using the CMTs and SFC Types with, you can use the commands and statuses provided by CMT instead of addressing the nubs directly.
