You can try to use SVG widgets. It`s possible to create it by yourself.

Or maybe try to use CustomWebControls.

I have used JavaScript in combination with SVG graphics.
But it is not all SVG instructions that is supported at the moment. The limitations, I don't know, but I tried to make a spinning wheel completely from SVG but that didn't, work. Then I added some JavaScript to compensate.

I was looking for a solution to add animated GIF's to WinCC Unified.

Now I stumbled unto a solution, so I wanted to share it in this thread.

In my situation I use TIA Portal V18 update 2 and an Unified Comfort panel with panel image V18 update 1.

You can show animated GIF's in a Web control

However, TIA Portal does not allow for an URL without http:// or https://. I worked around this by setting the URL via a JavaScript Dynamization:

value = "simatic/media/X61/_insertgifname_.gif";

Now the GIF is displayed (animation and all) on my panel.

This does NOT work when you open the web client of the panel.

I have not tried this with a simulation or PC runtime.

I hope this helps others further.

Hi, I'm not sure which folder I should place the GIF file in on my PC, since it ultimately needs to be loaded onto the panel. Could you please clarify the exact path you used?

Got it, just one last question; I'm not very experienced with this. What method should I use to place the file inside the panel? I assume adding it directly to the project folder won’t work. Is there a way to connect to the panel and access its file system directly? Thanks in advance for your help!
