Helo i wanted to do some simple animations in Win CC flexible advanced. And to achieve those i need some delay timer.

My thinking is:

Dim oldtime, newtime, delay

newtime = now

delay = 1000 - supposed to be in Ms

do 

oldtime = newtime

newtime = now

Timepassed = newtime - oldtime

delay = delay - timepassed

loop while delay > 0

This loop doesnt work for some reason, any advice on how to fix this simple problem is apreciated. I am thinking it might have something to do with wrong datatypes maybe ? I tried to monitor values inside of variables but i didnt find error.

OK.

From the example in my link I suppose that the delay is in Seconds. So your delay 1000 is about 16 Minutes.

I know it's been quite some time since this post has been opened and answered but I'll put here my code for future programmers looking for the same subject.

Dim twait, tstart, tstop

tstart = Now()

twait = 1 'this is 1 day

tstop = tstart + twait

Do Until (Now() >= tstop)

    'your code here

Loop

 Eventually, I think you can also do

twait = tstart + 1 / (60*60*24)

in order to add 1 second.
