Hello, F008 significance is - DC link undervoltage. As you mentioned, your both drives are tripping on F008, please check the AC incoming supply voltage & monitor for any fluctuations or dips in the supply at drive input side. |

Hello thanks for the support, Well, its not F008, its simpily 008 (inhibit). I found out that an alarm (A020) was showing for an instant before the drive goes to 008, but it was so fast that i didnt notice. Found out after many fails, and giving all my attention to the PMU changes (display). Acordding to the text its somehow overcurrent demand, so i smoothed the drive signal output increasing P264 from 1.8 seconds to 2.4 seconds. Just a try and fail thing, and until now its working ok, but stil on observation. |

Hello, This drives are controlled throgh profibus or different way. If it is by profibus then monitor the control word 1 or trigger the trace with fault then we can analyse the issue posibly. Thanks, Ashish |

I could not figure out how to start a new entry, so I'm replying in this post for help. We have an 6SE7018-0AE31 drive. CU3, CB1, and a T300 cards... I've downloaded to the drive w/ Drivemonitor and everything seems fine with all faults cleared and all LEDs appearing normal. However, I can't get rid of the 008 status. I've read all info I can find. I checked the control words and all looks normal. Now we have four identical lines. I can pull a running drive out and replace it with this one and still get the 008 on it. I put the other drive back in and it 's fine...I have replaced all three cards and downloaded parameters and still get the same result. Could it be the actual chassis itself? this is supposedly a repaired unit. Thanks for any help. rp |

Hello, Significance of 008 Power ON INHIBIT is as below. ♦ The power supply, open-loop and closed-loop control are operational. ♦ The message is available as long as an OFF 2 command is present via control word bit 1 or an OFF 3 command is available via control word bit 2 after the set-point has been ramped-down, or an ON command is available via control word bit 0 (edge evaluation). So please check the status & reason of OFF 2 or OFF 3 command. HTH. |

Thanks for the reply Piscean 2010, Here's what we found: Control word #1 Bits 10,11,12,15 are high. Control word #2 Bits 23,25,28,29,31 are high. The sources are as follows: Bit0- 3001(CB/TB) Bit1- 3001(CB/TB), 1002(CU BE2), PMU Bit2- 3001(CB/TB), 1001(CU BE1), 1001 With none of these three bits high should I still have an 008? Also, I checked at BE1 and BE2 and both were high (21.5VDC) and the control word I'm sending over profibus looks the same as the words going to my other drives that are running. So.. if Bits1 and 2 should be high why aren't they? |

Hi, until "BOTH" Bit 1 and Bit 2 are set, you will see '008 (Assuming all other relevant enables are present) including any Safe Stop status - if fitted) Once these bits are at logic 1, then the display will change to '009 (Ready for Switch On) Only when Bit 0 is finally triggered, does the drive then start running Regards, Graeme |

Thanks Graeme, I understand a little better now. I was able to make the 008 go away by changing the source for Bit1 (P555) to 1002(BE2) and the source for Bit2 (P558) to 1001(BE1). So this tells me that the 3001 source (CB/TB) is not high. I need to know where this signal is coming from because the control word I'm sending over Profibus looks the same as the word being sent to the drives that are running on the other line. Thanks, rp |

Hello, Please check the value of p554.x. It is the source of ON-OFF command i.e. bit 0 of control word. Please note, this signal is edge controlled signal. HTH. |
