How using VBS in Comfort panel read out the number of system messages? 
In article we see that it is possible to have feedback of state after executing of procedure: 

After the "ArchiveLogFile" function is completed successfully, the system message number 80048 is output.
Configure the "OpenAllArchives" function for the "Arrived" event of this system message.

 I would like makeinstruction like: 

If Err.Number = 80048 then

SmartTags("FDB_ARCHIEVE_AUDITTRAIL")=1

End if

The function Err.Number return all time 0. I suppose because it valid only for errors and not for the messages. Does someone know how to catch this number ?

Sometimes, it is very important to conduct an investigation by yourself... I asked a question, and now I can provide the answer: the full cycle is 32.

It was a little surprising for me where I found the solution—I had never looked in that direction before.

It seems that reading the number of system messages directly via VBS is not possible. However, if we navigate toHMI → Alarms → System Events → Any Event → Properties → Events → Incoming, we can use a standard function to capture when a message arrives. We can then write its number into a global variable and use it in our VBS script to determine whether the operation was successful or not. 

  If SmartTags("SYSTEM_MESSAGES_NUMBER") = 80019 Then ' Feedback that             ShowSystemAlarm "AuditTrail and other logs closed successfully"     SmartTags("DB235_RAPPORTINI_LOG_CONTROL{0}.CMD_CLOSE_LOG") = 0   SmartTags("DB235_RAPPORTINI_LOG_CONTROL{0}.CMD_ACHIEVE_LOG") = 1
 End If

 Of course, we need to spend some time adding this function to all system messages (or only those we are specifically interested in).
