Hi All,

So I created a project with TIA V13 and now im preparing programmed spares for the machine. So the new KTP400 has v15 image file where the original HMI has Image v13. When I try to download project I get message adaptation of target device failed. So I have tried to downgrade the image of the HMI but this has locked up the HMI that it wont even boot up. I have tried the recovery USB stick that I download from siemens and the screen doesn`t even change to prompt a recovery option. I had ip address changed to 192.168.1.2 but I cant ping it. It cant be seen in accessible devices or any download options. Not sure where to go next.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can see the hmi with proneta?, try modifying the IP address with proneta and then perform a factory reset with prosave.

Thanks for your reply. Tried using proneta but all it shows is my pc on the network and cant find any HMI. I tested it using a good HMI so I know the software is working ok.

Think im going to send bad HMI back to supplier?

Thanks for reply. Yes I use a USB 2.0 with the recovery files as per link but it still doesn`t go past boot screen.

Its back to the supplier.
