I have the following :s7-400 cpu (6es7 412-2XG04-0AB0) connected profibus to MASTERDRIVES MC Plus (optionboard SlotA CBP2).

I am trying to perform MDI positioning, so I did the following steps:

U531 Src G function MDI (transferred via profibus): 5B21 (this value transferred successfully)

U532 position MDI (transferred via profibus): CFC7 (this value transferred successfully)

U533 velocity MDI (transferred via profibus): 4A38 ( this value transferred successfully)

Drive status is 9 (ready for switching on)

MDI mode_in =3 

MDI mode_out=3

Start enable signal ST-EN on

When I initiate start command positive edge at (STA) 

Drive not running and I have the following warning A130

What could be the problem ??

A130 = Operating conditions are not fulfilled.

Check if honing is carried out. Check in r550 status of OFF1, OFF2, OFF3 & inverter enable signal. Also check the present status of converter in r000.

What do you mean by honing?

OFF1 - i.e. start command is edge controlled i.e. pulse. Have you confirmed it?

 Yes 

I start with the following OFF2=1, OFF3=1, OFF1=0, r000=8 (on locked) 

Then I change OFF1=1 and thus r000=9 

Then STA=1 and I got the warning 

PLease check which word you transfer to drive from PLC & which word you receive from drive?

Control word 47F & then 47E should be transfered to start drive.

then 47F 

To change off1 value from 0 to 1 

Should I reverse the transferring 47F then 47E to change off1 from 1 to 0 ?

Yes, you need to transfer 47F first & then 47E so that OFF 1 will be positive edge triggered.

Hi, what is the value in the positioning status word KK315?

By Homing, He means is the axis referenced, see bit 30 of the status word. If not, this must be performed first.

You should not be worrying about OFF1, 2, 3 once the drive is setup in MDI mode (Clearly, they have an effect, but they should have already been set)

Sounds like Your operating mode is correctly set (i.e. Mode=3 and echoed back)

By the way, 0x47E FIRST, followed by 0x47F is a positive edge trigger on bit 0.

It is the STA bit in the positioning control bits that begins the traverse/MDI move

I am not at the site now but I remember that bit 30 ( axis referenced) of the status word  kk315 value is 0

Do you mean It should be 1 before transmit STA bit?
