Random display shutdown

WE have 4 MTP1000 HMI panels in various parts of the wastewater treatment plant technology. They all have the same firmware version 18.0.3 and image file (V18.00.00.03_05.01.00.10. 2.). Two of the 4 panels are randomly turning off the display. The display doesn't respond to touch and the black screen persists until I "reset" the panel by plugging in/out power. But the LED inside the panel is on, so I don't think it's a power problem. Any ideas please?

ElonksuM_SN_BN Regular Expert Joined: 5/6/2022 Last visit: 7/10/2025 Posts: 589 Rating: (123)	Hi AutoGen_4745380, In these cases, the first thing to check is the following: - First I would recommend you to perform a delete of the IM folder, compile and reload: "How do I delete the IM folder of my TIA Portal project?" - Then I would recommend you to check that you are not exceeding the panel limits, as you can block them if they are exceeded: "Unified Comfort Panels: Scope of functions with WinCC" - On the panels that crash, have you tried loading a very simple project to see if the same thing happens? This would rule out that the problem is in the project and not in the panel. We are waiting for your answer. Best regards!

If this do not help... then it could also be a HW issue Bye Murof
