Simatic IOT2050 not booting with this version V01.02.01

sowmyam Joined: 10/20/2022 Last visit: 7/15/2025 Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have received 5no's of SIMATIC IOT2050 [FW: V01.00.00, and FW: V01.02.01] with 2 version. We flashed TCP image to the SD Card. After flashing ,we inserted that SD card to SIMATIC IOT2050 (FW: V01.00.00),its booting properly and the status LED is blinking in green color. But, when we inserted that same SD card to SIMATIC IOT2050 (FW: V01.02.01),its not booting and the status LED is not blinking, its continuously in ON state. Is there any configuration need to add in uboot with this version V01.02.01? can you please help me out to resolve this issue?

What is the status of the STATUS LED on the devices, which are not booting? Red? Are you talking about IOT2050 Basic or Advanced and which FS do the devices have? Best regards!

Status LED is continously in ON state, it is in green color. IOT2050 6ES7647-0BA00-0YA2[FW: V01.02.01] basic and FS is 02 which is not booting. IOT2050 6ES7647-0BA00-0YA2[FW: V01.00.00] basic and FS 01 which is booting. But my question is we are using same SD card to the simatic IOT2050 6ES7647-0BA00-0YA2 [FW: V01.00.00], it booting properly and the status LED is blinking in green color.we are able to access and run our custom services with that image.when we insert that same SD card to IOT2050 6ES7647-0BA00-0YA2 [FW: V01.02.01], why? status LED is Constantly in ON state and not able to access. Is there any difference in FS 01 and FS 02? how to reslove this?

No firmware update is needed. The same is true for FS.04 of the IOT2050 Advanced. See also the the first topic in the forum about FS states ("FS:02 requires Example ImageV1.2.1/V1.2.2").

No firmware update is needed. The same is true for FS.04 of the IOT2050 Advanced. See also the the first topic in the forum about FS states ("FS:02 requires Example ImageV1.2.1/V1.2.2"). thanks for your answer, this is correct. @Somu99: The version of the Example Image is very important. Probably you are using the Example Image V1.1.1. As AutoGen_1085483 said: FS:02 of the Basis is a new hardware which requires the Example Image V1.2.2. To make FS:01 of the Basis able to run this V1.2.2, you need to perform a firmware update. This is described here. My recommendation: Update FS:01 to firmware V1.2.1 and use Example Image V1.2.2 on both of your devices. Best regards!

To update firmware, we need to use v1.1.1.How to update example image from v1.0.2 to v1.1.1 in fs01 simatic iot2050? any procedure document is available?
