stuxnet damaged our machine and reparation

hazem Bronze Member Joined: 2/15/2010 Last visit: 1/20/2024 Posts: 329 Rating: (6)	Dear, We need to ask experts about Stuxnet and this as we read can damage our mechanical parts because of we read about it affects variable speed drives and increase its speed from zero to full speed and again within seconds and this enough to damaged mechanical parts which its value are more expensive and take time to repare or buy new unit so who will compensate us for this? who is resposible for downtime and loss ?

Approximately one year after introduction of stuxnet, it is really amusing. I think the engineer who is resposible for taking care of control system and PGs should be blamed for the loss.There is no compensation for that as the preventive remedy discussed in details in the forum. regards

Regards, Simply because this is a PC virus. Who is responsible in case of infect the PC with viruses? Only its user. The idea is to know in advance about viruses in order to tka care about it in advance. aikona Posts: 487 Rating: (36)	Before you get to 'who will pay for it' it is important that when you , your PC/PLC's get hit by a virus that you stand as a team and take action to get rid of the virus We got hit by a virus , various people did notice anomalies but it took more than 12 hours to start acting on it .But 24 hours later various department worked together as a team and within 48 hours the whole place was clean and free of the virus.We analysed the virus, the effect it had and we made quite a couple of 'adjustments' to our computer system.Scanning of usb sticks , user rights ,shares etc .We even found a PC with a admin account and a blank password.
