Where to learn more about safety PLC?

chris michael Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I need to get up to speed on using safety PLC. I have been asked to replace a safety-relay design with a safety PLC. I have purchased and read the book "Practical Machinery Safety" by David Macdonald which presented very good information on Safety PLC but the book was published in 2004 so I assume it is out of date. What should I read to understand the advancements in safety PLC since 2004?

Now, you need a practice in order to study it further more. Depends of used hardware there, you will meet with different points which should be clarified deeply. And if we talk for Siemens hardware, this forum offer you a lot of manuals, FAQs, opinions from other members...just use a search field here.
