It looks like the runtime keeps trying to connect to the PLC for like 2 minutes, but after a certain time it just starts the runtime without the connection saying 'Partly running'. But I have no clue. The trace viewer does show a lot of errors though, but these error are also given when I simulated the empty project, when the runtime manager showed a green project. So it seems, your system has some errors. I would recommend the following (always with administrator rights): Start the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager Navigate to 'Sites' and delete 'WinCC Unified SCADA Home' Start 'WinCC Unified Configuration' and re-apply the settings Kind regards Stefan

I tried it multiple times with different IP settings but had no luck. Good to hear its not the project, that makes life a little easier. However I have no idea where to look next. Time for a support ticket?

My useraccount was not added to the right groups in the 'computer management'. I can run simulation now, it also works without runtime license. Read Simulation with S7-PLCSIM on the following link. This step did the trick. Add your windows user account in 'computer management' to those groups. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/mdm/109798671?c=136374078859&lc=en-WW Thank you a lot!
