This is an repeated problem we are facing in S7 1200 CPU 1214C with Communication module of 1243C( profibus communication to the Sinamics S120 CU320 2DP).for crane hoist application.Every power failure / switched off of 24V supply of communication module 1243C, CPU wents on STOP MODE (new i/p or o/p acess error)and every time we need to connect the laptop for restoring to START mode by forcing. Even though i had included all the OBs,cyclic and hardware interrupters but no use.Any one pl helping out, what could be done for come out from this problem. Thanks in advance..... risypatel Bronze Member Joined: 1/28/2013 Last visit: 10/22/2024 Posts: 37 Rating: (8)	Hi Frds.. i have also facing this proglem. with S7-1200 1214C PLC & CU320- PN. i have made profinet connection. when i am compling all software & program also. in error windows showing everytihng is all right.when i am downloading the program is 100% download in the plc but after when i going online with the plc then i got the error. and the eror msg is lower-lever component error.. i checked my all part with mlfb number all commponents are correct. now i am confused what should i do... ? please help me for this problem,... last 15 day i facing this problem on my project.. my hardware list is... 6ES7214-1AG31-0XB0 CPU 1214C Nos. 1 6SL3040-1MA01-0AA0 CU320-2 PN Nos. 1 6ES7223-1BH32-0XB0 Digital I/O Nos. 1 6ES7231-4HD30-0XB0 SM 1231 4AI Nos. 1 6ES7232-4HD30-0XB0 SM 1232 - 4AO Nos. 1 6AV6647-0AF11-3AX0 KTP1000 Basic Color PN Nos. 1

Either it is powered off, and your PLC does not handle the hardware offline error (I use a simple hardware error interrupt OB to capture these problems), or, the remote device is refusing to join or merge with the S7-1214's profinet network. Do you have access to the s7-300 profinet configuration or is that part of your portal project? If you are adding the s7-1200 to the s7-300, your profinet configuration needs to match the s7-300. If the s7-300 is being added to the s7-1200, then the s7-300 needs to be configured to be in the same profinet subnet as configured in the s7-1200 project. Start with the hardware error interrupt OB and post your results.

Everytime Drive power in switched Off, the CPU Goes to Stop Mode. ( CPU is on UPS supply, so we are sure this happed due to failure of Profinet Slave Drive ) Wecannot insert OB 86 , OB84 or OB OB 122 in S7-1200 ( As we could in S7-300 ). So Everytime the Drive is switched off / power fails, CPU Goes to Stop. I have just added OB 82 but this is defined as Diagnostic interrupt, while we need "Rack Failure" OB. Worse still, since there is no Run-Stop switch, an Engineer has to rush with a Laptop everytime to put the CPU toRun. ( Just what was the logic of not providing the Run/Stop switch in S7-1200 !! completely beats me ) Please suggested a solution. Thanks Navnag

Thanks vipz Your suggestion will certainly help me to bring the CPU to RUn Mode, if we switch the power off and then ON again. However what we are trying to do is to prevent the CPU from going to STOP Mode if one or More Profinet Node Fails. Will adding OB82 to the program prevent this ? Cheers Navnag

If CNC is not ready when PLC is in RUN mode PLC will go to stop mode. There CNC ststup time was more. So we made external hardwired timer to control the supply to PLC. First supply will go to CNC, after that only will go to PLC, by that time CNC will be ready. With this somehow we could able to solve the problem. Software side, nothing helped me.
