I am also having problems with this. I want to send e-mail via message window as an alarm triggered by tag change. In email-configuration settings I have set the following:

Encrypted mails (SSL)

e-mail server address: smtp.gmail.com
e-mail server port: 587
e-mail user name: my full email address (gmail.com)
password: my e-mail password
e-mail address (sender): same as user name (read somewhere that it should be the same)

I have founded also on Siemens forum Google internet authority certificate G3 that is valid till 12/15/2021 that should allegedly allow me the SSL e-mail transfer. I have imported it also under security/certificate manager section of my CP1242-7 module, but I always get the same error message number hex 8420- "Certificate chain from the server could not be verified with the root certificate of the CP."

Why this certificate isn't valid? Where can I import other certificates because I cant' see to find them on internet? Is there anything else i should/must change in my settings?
