Hi,

it is not possible to check/compare the hardware online.

What you can do:

• Create a new empty project.
• Upload the current project from the cpu (menu bar -> online -> upload as new station hardware + software).
• Safe the project.
• Open your project you would like to compare the hardware configuration with via "reference project".
• Compare hardware offline/offline with drag&drop the reference project to the comparator.

As you did an upload of the project from the cpu, this should "fit" the hardware configuration currently running on the cpu.
Offline/Offline compare of hardware is possible to use.

Right-click on the PLC in the portal project, select Download Hardware changes (which may only be available while online with the PLC).

When given the opportunity to stop the PLC, STOP trying to download because you have your answer.

If the hardware configuration is different, you are offered the opportunity to download once you stop the PLC.

If you are not offered the chance to stop the PLC, the hardware config is the same.  The status messages in lower section of the working pane should say that as well.

hi All

Lets say PLC is running and i am not sure if latest hardware has been downloaded and i cannot stop the plc for the download.

Is there a way to check whether project hardware config matches online?

Is it always good to download all hardware config rather than changes to be on the safe side?
