It would be best to have the input go to a TOF timer and use the timer output as trigger instead of using the bare input. Then the natural make-and-break phenomenon that some buttons have will be filtered out. w

What a surprise to hear from you! (sigh) The beauty of STL is not for the S7-1200.. I sometimes do miss it. But hey... maybe Shahjee does not use the S7-1200 and your idea is not so off-topic. (smile) I guess you always get to work with good quality switchgear. Some clients do love getting the cheap-and-nasty stuff which makes filtering actions standard in my programs.

0_Einstein Diamond Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 11/15/2024 Posts: 15402 Rating: (2443)	Attached is an untested (for reliability) piece of code that allows for selecting whether the input state change is edge detection for toggle, or delayed (by 0.1 sec) for debounced state change. Also motor is stopped when interlock changes to 0 (i.e. overload)
