Hello everybody,

I am trying to use a MTP400 Unified Basic Panel (6AV2123-3DB32-0AW0) in tia portal V18.

Under the menu Add new device I can see the Simatic Unified Comfort Panel folder. In this folder there is no option for a 4 inch screen. I assume this is because this is the "Comfort" folder. I don't have a Unified Basic folder. 

Do I need to install an extra update/package?
If so, which one?

I found this page after looking for quite a while:

But there is says for V18 "backup only". I am not sure what that means.
I downloaded that file anyway and run the .exe
It takes about 30 second to extract and then instantly tells me the installation is done (which I find suspicious, is there no install menu/process?) 

Then I restarted my pc and opened Tia portal (V18), but still no folder with Unified Basic panels.

What am I doing wrong?

I am not entirely sure what version I was on, but the update download/install for upd4 is now running.
So lets see if that fixes things.

EDIT:
It seems the update did not install properly. I can now no longer open anything related to tia portal.
Not even the software manager to try and fix it...

Hi,

In that case, I would recommend using the "Repair" option for the whole TIA Portal V18 installation.

You can use the "Setup.exe" of the initial installation for this.

If this doesn't work either, I would completely uninstall TIA V18 and install from scratch. Afterwards, you can apply the Update again.
