Dear all,

I have laptop with Windows 10,step 7 v5.6 , teleservice software v6.1 sp5, TS Adapter v5.2, USB->Rs232 . I can not set PG/PC interface com. Why I do not have a choice com port ?RS232 work good becuase i can transfer projekt to the HMI. See the attachment:(.

In device Manager: Ts adapter-RS232  installed correctely.

Is this a problem or no and in this case can I use TS adapter without any problem?

check your device manager in the windows-settings if the HW is correctly installed.

I have in mind that there was a general problem with com-ports and Windows 10.

Hello,

I think also that TS adapter RS-232 isn't compatible. Look to PG/PC options and check this TC adapter is there with correct COM port set. If this isn't possible try add TS adapter but this can be impossible with old adapters like this one is. Can you tell us what you want really to do with this TS adapter?

I understand to that, I ask what you really want to do. Again, via RS-232 is impossible to do something (maybe some tweak with incorporation of RS-232 can be found) but only USB HW adapters are compatible generally. That used USB-RS232 generic adapter doesn't help, it's also not possible via this solution to do something only general serial communication via serial module/card (again general serial comm) not download or other service functions.

I created a virtual machine Windows XP SP3 and installed teleService "correctly installed" software but TS adapter MPI/RS332 not work when connect to S7-300 and gave the error: the connection can't be established.

we able to select the com port and bit rate  in PG/PC Setting

we notice in the device manager:

Simatic net

Simatic USB

TS Adapter and the setting are O.K. because I tested it before on PC OS Windows XP "host OS"

TS Adapter green lamp is on

What is the reason of problem?
