Thanks for the reply, i have attached an image of my program. So the two counters are counting the same registrations marks at two different point of the machine, one before the laser unit and one after. They should in theory be the same but i will allow it to miss 20 due to ramp up and ramp down movement of the film. if the comparator is out by one it drops the output. how to i allow it to miss 20 before it drops the output? i am new to programming so i didn't quite understand your reply, apologies in advance. cheers, matty g AttachmentDoc1.docx (151 Downloads) |

Hello Matty, apologize is not necessary, welcome to the forum. At this answer is a attachment with a few explanations. There are only suggestions for you. My recommendation is that you should have a look at the programming style guide for 1200/1500. Hope this help. regards AttachmentCompare_Counter.docx (162 Downloads) |

Hello Matty, it's nice to hear that my answer was helpful At your challenge with the counting: I would use the inputs with a high-speed-counter, because you have a 35 Hz signal and that means that your Cycle Time of OB1 must be lower then 28 ms. Please look at the manual at chapter 10.1 (Counting, page 555). Hope this help you again. regards |
