Hello Expert,

We have simatic station consist of CPU 314 IFM connected with PC through CP 5611

Programmed with Simatic Manager V 5.2

We make ON line communication using TS adapter 6ES7 972-0CA34-OXAO + RS232 cable to upload PLC program.

We installed Simatic Manager V5.4 on the programming PC.

But the communication not successed and no error appears.

Power green lamp for TS adapter is ON,TS adapter and RS232 cable are O.K

Could be that your communication settings in the CPU differ from the settings in the TS adapter.

Hello,

Solution is to check communication settings of the PLC, you can check the PC with the CP5511 for that,
If the CPU is not at default settings (187.5Kbs address 2) and your adapter is default , you will have this problem.

Hello,

you need to know at what baudrate and address the CPU is and at what baudrate and adress the Adapter.

The only way to change the TS adapter settings is by Teleservice addon.
