Program status

nandgate Posts: 319 Rating: (9)	Whenever i try to view the current status of my s7226 plc it says connection not found. whereas there is no problem whenever i try to upload or download the program it is not showing any error message. what could be the problem? please help. P.S i am able to download or upload the program only when the plc is in stop mode.

Double click on communications and in the screen that appears(see attached pic),doubleclick on refresh. If PLC is found try program status again. Attachment com.JPG (236 Downloads)

nandgate Posts: 319 Rating: (9)	yeah i tried that. but whenever i click on refresh button, it says please check ur connections plc not found. baudrate and address are ok. cable is fine bcoz it is communicating with other PLCs.Also i am able to download or upload the program only when the plc is in stop mode, any specific reason for that? ( in the same PLC).

Greg_E Posts: 88 Rating: (2)	Hi nandgate, does your plc establish a mobus or USS communication through the ports you try to connect? if it so, you cannot connect the PC-PPI cable and see the status online when there are another protocol runs. check this please(as i can see its the only reasonable cause) and let us know if its work or not. cause when you turn to stop the PLC the other protocol stops and you are able to connect the PPI programm cable and down/upload. I don't think the ports configured as Modbus or USS. Probably something wrong with your software or computer. Try using another computer.

Greg_E Posts: 88 Rating: (2)	he success to down/upload only in stop mode it means the modbus and uss protocols not initialized his problem to communicate in run mode, again i suggest to check this situation of different communication protocol through PLC ports. i hade this problem with 222 cpu(1port) when i turned to run i couldnt see the status of the program!.
